Modernisation Program will replace Hearing Australia’s ageing core ICT systems.
Hearing Australia has launched a Systems Modernisation Program with independent technology services provider DXC Technology to make it even easier for people with hearing loss to get the help they need.
The Systems Modernisation Program will replace Hearing Australia’s ageing core ICT systems and business processes over the next 18 months.
Replacing three ageing systems with an integrated technology platform will bring improvements to client experience and service delivery, said Mike Brett CIO at Hearing Australia.
“This will streamline business processes across multiple channels for a seamless client experience, while maintaining global best practice, technology and security within the Microsoft eco-system,” he said. “The program is a key enabler for us to better understand our clients and help them at every stage of their hearing journey.”
Brett notes the focus on delivering services when and how clients need them is particularly important in the face of a national pandemic.
“Hearing Australia has stayed open for its clients and is helping over 10,000 children, adults, pensioners and veterans every week, including through the use of tele-health services,” he said. “The Systems Modernisation Program will make it even easier for these clients to get the help they need.”
Hearing Australia helps thousands of children, adults, pensioners, veterans, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people connect with their loved ones and their communities every week. With about 450 audiologists, Hearing Australia provides hearing care through tele-services, online, in home and across a nationwide network of 168 centres, said Kim Terrell managing director at Hearing Australia.
“We’ve been helping Australians experience the joy of sound for over 70 years and we have over 270,000 clients that we put at the heart of everything we do,” he said. “The vision at the centre of our Systems Modernisation Program is to equip and empower our people to make it even easier to help people with hearing loss to access our services.”
Hearing Australia selected DXC Technology to help deliver the Systems Modernisation Program following a competitive tender process in late 2019.
DXC demonstrated a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Hearing Australia, as well as the capability and experience required to successfully implement the scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution, said Brett.
