Capterra research shows COVID-19’s impact on digital transformation
During the pandemic of 2020 companies have drastically sped up their digital transformation faster.
In Australia that has meant dramatic rises in the adoption of technology and acceptance of company-wide remote working, where possible.
In new research from B2B software search website Capterra (powered by Gartner), shows 72 percent of businesses have digitised some or all of their offerings so that they can be delivered virtually.
About half of employees surveyed said they believe their company could function at full potential with permanent remote working flexibility.
Capterra’s blog on the research also showed 57 per cent of Australian small and mid-sized businesses (SMEs) are already operating fully remotely and more plan to.
Australian companies have also seen drastic rises in:
- Technology adoption
- Digitalised business offerings
- Telework
- Receptiveness to remote working
- Digital transformation leadership.
Capterra’s research was based on an online survey between the fourth of April 2020 and 14th April 2020.
The responses come from a sample of the Australian market. Of the 916 people who participated in the survey, we were able to discover that 57 per cent of Australian small and mid-sized businesses (SMEs) are already operating fully remotely and six per cent plan to.
