Ankura expands cybersecurity capabilities in APAC

Ankura Consulting, a renowned global expert services and advisory firm, has announced a significant expansion of its Cybersecurity and Data & Technology capabilities in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The firm has welcomed highly respected cyber leader Rob Phillips and his team, bolstering its expertise in the fast-growing APAC market.

Rob Phillips, based in Singapore, will assume the leadership role for Ankura’s Cybersecurity and Privacy practice across APAC. In this capacity, he will closely collaborate with the global teams to provide clients with end-to-end cyber services, ranging from digital forensics and eDiscovery to incident response, cyber readiness, threat intelligence, privacy consulting, and 24×7 managed detection and response (MDR) services.

Rob Phillips, who joins Ankura from a major consultancy where he led the APAC cyber risk group, brings over 30 years of professional experience, with more than 22 years specifically dedicated to Singapore and APAC. Prior to his role as a cyber leader, Phillips founded RP Digital Security (RP-DS), a Singapore-based cyber firm renowned for its expertise in cyber investigation and computer forensics, specializing in areas such as data breach, ransomware, business email compromise, and insider threat investigations.

Chris Marks, Senior Managing Director, and APAC leader of Ankura’s Data & Technology Practice highlighted the increasing cybercrime reports in the Asia-Pacific region and the significance of organizations fortifying themselves against potential attacks. Marks stressed the importance of developing resilient incident response plans and being prepared in advance.
