Optus Business bundles Microsoft Teams Calling

Subhead: Cloud-based voice calling service to help businesses stay connected

Optus Business is offering Australian enterprises the cloud-based voice service, called Microsoft Teams Calling with Optus.

Underpinned by Microsoft’s direct routing technology and Azure Cloud platform, Microsoft Teams Calling with Optus provides Australian businesses a collaboration suit that leverages Optus’ Evolve Voice capability.

Deon Liebenberg vice president product innovation Optus Business said, as Australians transition to remote working they want reliable and secure unified communications solutions.

“[This] offers businesses the flexibility to use Microsoft Teams, for real-time inter-team collaboration and as an enterprise phone system using the Optus network,” he said.

remote workforce activity has become the new normal.

“We’ve seen Microsoft Team usage dramatically increase to over 75 million daily active users globally,” he said. “By combining Optus’ premium network with Microsoft Teams, we’re now able to give customers a comprehensive platform for all their secure communication and collaboration needs.”

Optus will provide professional and managed service to support customers in the planning, design and implementation to ensure a successful adoption.

“By providing both inbound and outbound voice calling capabilities via Microsoft Teams, we are able to help customers simplify their infrastructure, consolidate suppliers, reduce costs and gain a comprehensive unified communications toolset,” said Liebenberg.

Microsoft Teams is Office 365’s teamwork hub and collaboration platform. It provides people with the ability to work together, communicate and share information via a common space.
