Max Bupa India’s CISO moves to PNB Housing Finance

Plan of action includes developing a risk mitigation strategy.

India-based PNB Housing has recently appointed Rajat Maheshwari as its CISO. He will be responsible for risk mitigation strategy while integrating security tools into the current systems and enhancing the user experience.

According to Maheshwari’s LinkedIn page, he comes with 18 years of IT experience. Most recently he was the CISO at Max Bupa, where he spent three years “leading the Information Security Team with appropriate competencies to deliver the information security program”.

During his time at Max Bupa, he was also responsible for leveraging complete knowledge of information security topics, system architecture and internet technology to promote and support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs into daily operations of BFSI; ensuring all ISMS and IS Frameworks in-line with IRDA and ISO 27001:2013 standards.

Maheshwari directed all the functions pertaining to data centre, IT Infrastructure, IT application support, leadership for delivery of 24/7 service operations and compliance. He advised management and the board on implementation of information and cyber security policy and framework, identifying the information security needs, and assessing the risk.

PNB Housing Finance Limited (PNBHFL) is a 30 years old public sector housing finance company (HFC), headquartered in New Delhi with branches in major cities across India. The company is promoted by Punjab National Bank and is registered with the National Housing Bank (NHB).
